Alicia Darian is a dedicated educator and interventionist specializing in literacy and career readiness for high school students in the CTAE program. With a background in elementary education, she brings a unique perspective to addressing the literacy needs of older students, focusing on reading comprehension and vocabulary development.
Alicia finds joy in mentoring and building meaningful connections with students, fostering their confidence and supporting their academic and personal growth. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys engaging in DIY projects. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in a commitment to culturally responsive teaching, amplifying student agency, and centering Black girls’ literacies to create inclusive spaces where every learner can thrive.
Driven by the belief that education is a transformative tool for empowerment, Alicia strives to design learning experiences that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and self-expression.
